Entry requirements

For the position of security officer.

Education: KCSE grade D and above
Age: 24 to 40 years
Height: 5 ft 9 in (men), 5 ft 7 in (women)
Fitness: Physically fit and in good health
Clearance: Certificate of police clearance
References: Two referees, including a community leader

Selection process

Every applicant goes through the same five stages.

ApplicationWe check your documents and contact shortlisted applicants by phone.
InterviewAn oral interview and a short dictation exercise to assess literacy.
Fitness and medicalPhysical fitness drills and a medical examination.
TrainingA two-week examinable basic security course. The pass mark is 60%.
Background checksWe verify certificates, past employers, referees and police records before deployment.
